Mining museum

  • After mining was discontinued, a considerable amount of work has been done to rebuild the old mine as an attraction for the public. This attraction offers fascinating insights into Alpine geology and the history of the national park. A rarity in the Hohe Tauern, this has been made permanently accessible to visitors for educational purposes. For example, cover construction of the Tauern Window and rock outcrops have been illustrated comprehensibly.
