Nationalpark Hohe Tauern

Weißsee Glacier World

The Weißsee Glacier World is an eldorado for hiking and panoramic views. Hikers can find footpath in the area surrounding the mid-station at Grünsee lake, at Weißsee lake near the Berghotel Rudolfshütte or even at the Medelz viewing platform at 2,600 m above sea level. Here, a vast panorama opens up to the famous Dorfer valley towards Kals am Grossglockner.

Here more than 40 km of marked trails up to almost 3,000 m above sea level – including interesting glacier routes and Alp crossings – await hikers. Experienced mountaineers can look forward to varied, guided Alpine glacier tours.
