Nationalpark Hohe Tauern

Seebachtal, Mallnitz

Prop rooted plants, "praying forest" and ice holes

The Seebachtal (Seebach valley) with the Stappitzer See (lake of Stappitz) sparkling like a jewel is one of the most beautiful high mountain valleys in Hohe Tauern. The easy-to-walk themed trail provides an insight into special natural phenomena such as prop-rooted plants, the "praying forest" and the ice hole. The booklet "Naturführer Seebachtal" (Seebach valley nature guide) (only available in german) offers information about the various stops. The path offers 18 stops with interesting information about the flora, fauna and other characteristics of the Seebachtal.
